About this Soap:

Nurture features a fragrance oil blend of: neroli, ylang-ylang, sandalwood, melon, rose, black pepper, and vetiver. It has been described as having a gorgeous sweet and fruity scent that is accented by the sultry notes of black pepper and vetiver. This fragrance (and all fragrance oils that i use) are Phthalate free. The gorgeous dark color is obtained with an alkanet infusion and has ground rose petals in it, along with some poppyseeds for gentle exfoliation. The finishing touch is a gold mica swirl on top.

Shea Butter has long been known for it’s great ability to soften and sooth dry skin. It lends a certain degree of hardness to a bar of soap as well as creamy luxurious lather. Shea butter contributes a high percentage of unsaponifiables oils (up to 17%). Unsaponifiables are beneficial substances that survive the saponification process. These substances aren’t fatty acids and therefore they don’t react with lye making the finished bar even more moisturizing and nourishing.

Bars are hand cut and weigh an average of 4-4.5 oz's. Each batch is hand made and will vary from batch to batch.

Always keep your soap in a place free of pooling water and on a well-draining soap dish to get the longest life from your soap. If it is allowed to sit in water, it will begin to soften and melt away before your full enjoyment.

Everything in my shop is made by hand by me, in Tucson AZ. I make everything in small batches so no two will ever be the same. Please understand that this will case unique variations in each soap batch to batch-but that is part of the fun of handmade goods!

I use Cold Process soap making methods and each batch is left to cure a minimum of 4-6 weeks before sale, so that the soap has had enough time to become a harder, longer lasting bar. I pick each set of ingredients specifically for each batch of soap, nothing is pre-made, and no preservatives or detergents are used. I hand mix and blend all the ingredients myself. Our soap is made in a private kitchen, I do not claim to diagnose, treat or cure but can tell you how my soap has helped us, and those that have already tried our products. I am not a doctor and if you have any questions about using any of the ingredients if you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients. Sodium Hydroxide is used in the saponification process to saponify oils and butters and does not remain in the final product.
